My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Scootaloo’s Tale
****
Wings buzzing, rainbow scarf flapping in the breeze, Scootaloo zoomed through the snow-choked streets of Ponyville, shouting hellos to ponies she passed. She had no clear destination in mind. The rush of the winter air against her face, the thrill of dodging around ponies in the haze of the falling snow, was reason enough to push against her limits.
“Look out below!”
Scootaloo ducked beneath the rainbow blur, landing with a screech somewhere behind. Scootaloo hit the brakes, turned, and circled back around to find her favorite pony in the whole world shaking clumps of snow from her mane. “Nice landing, Rainbow Dash!”
Rainbow Dash chuckled, taking the moment to remove her flight goggles and wipe off the gathering frost. “Thanks, squirt! Nice riding back there. Takes good reflexes to dodge one of my, uh, emergency landings.”
It took all of Scootaloo’s willpower to not let loose an uncool squeal at this praise, and even then she worried her smile was bright enough to melt the snow around them. “Th-thanks, Rainbow Dash! Do you, um, wanna hang out so I can show you some more of my sick moves?”
Guilt flashed across the older pegasus’ face. “Oh gosh, I’d love to, but I’m kinda busy right now helping less experienced pegasi get better at flying in bad weather.” She looked up, Scootaloo following her gaze to see Rumble, Cotton Cloudy, Featherweight, and Tornado Bolt. “Keep flapping there, guys! Don’t push through the wind, push around it!”
“Oh,” said Scootaloo, looking from the flying ponies to the ground. Her ground. “That’s pretty cool, all that responsibility. We’ll get together some other time then.”
Rainbow Dash frowned and knelt down, a hoof going to Scootaloo’s shoulder. “Hey, you okay, Scoots?”
Scootaloo’s left forehoof trembled. She clamped down on her scooter’s handlebars and forced a smile. “Course I’m okay, Dash! You go do your thing, don’t worry about me! I’ll just be down here… scooting around, hehe….”
Frown still on her face, Rainbow Dash flapped her wings and rose back up to the waiting pegasi, Featherweight waving down and mumbling a “Sorry.” Scootaloo waved back and then watched the group fly off, quickly disappearing into the haze of the falling snow.
Scootaloo sighed. She prepared to kick off her scooter once more.
“Hahahahahahahahahahahah!”
Scootaloo looked up at the laughter and saw Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon standing at a nearby street corner. “Oh, you two. What are you laughing at?”
Diamond Tiara stopped laughing and adjusted her tiara. “Well, I think I’m laughing at a blank-flank flightless filly deluding herself.”
Silver Spoon adjusted her glasses and smirked at Diamond Tiara. “Fooling herself about what, though?”
“About a pony as cool as Rainbow Dash actually caring about her, of course.”
“Ah, yes, that is quite laughable. Hah!”
Scootaloo snarled and took a step toward the two. “Hey, you shut up! Rainbow Dash is just busy!”
“Too busy for you,” said Diamond Tiara, playing with her scarf. “And I bet that right now she’s thinking about more ways to be too busy for—”
BWOOSH.
The bullies disappeared beneath a flurry of snow. Rainbow Dash slammed down in front of Scootaloo, sending another more snow at them. She visibly steamed. “Friends and family can be too busy for each other sometimes, but that doesn’t mean they stop caring!” She turned to Scootaloo, gaze softening. “It doesn’t mean that I stop caring.”
Scootaloo didn’t try to hide her tears as she tackled Rainbow Dash, face to her chest as she hugged tight. “Rainbow Dash!”
Rainbow Dash laughed and returned the hug. Sisters, if not in blood.

Fall of Equestria: New Dawn Chapter 4
Aftershock
Twilight sat on the steps of town hall, now a temporary base for Ponyville's liberators, her previously bare chest now covered in Flash's dragon scale leather jacket. There was a whole lot to take in. Shining Armor was leading the rebellion. A rebellion complete with their own mobile suits and flying battleships to counter the Caribou's own. This was... unbelievable. Everything she was seeing now was against everything she'd seen with her own eyes for the last five years. All the while; allied Mobile suits moved through the streets and civilians headed for the huge battleship that had landed outside of town. Shining Armor stepped

Luna sat in the great hall eating a few bananas and looking over her dream list. Celestia came in and looked at her sister.
"Hello Luna." She said. Luna looked at her and smiled.
"Hello sister how was your night?" Luna asked.
"You would know my sister." Celestia chuckled. "How went last nights venture?" Luna smiled.
"Well I-" She was cut short by a Royal Guard troting in and bowing.
"Forgive me your grace but the alicorn is refusing to talk to us or the history pony." he said. Celestia sighed.
"Very well...guess we will start this off the hard way...Tell him I'll be-"
